Adéla Indráková
Age: 28
Country: Czech Republic
Which distances are you running in Norway? Middle, Long and Relays
How has the preparations been? During the winter I did not believe I could have been selected for WOC, because I struggled with some health issues and I could not train at all. However, spring and summer made me confident again, as the training went well. The whole July I spent abroad, Norway, France and Sweden, doing orienteering every day. Now I will rest and see what happens with my shape.
What are you goals in WOC? Perform well, so I could be satisfied after each race. I would like to finish with that feeling: 'I did my best.'
If you were an animal, which one would you be and why? Dolphin. They are really smart and fast and they can easily navigate in the ocean.

Anna Bachman
Age: 29
Country: Sweden
Which distances are you running in Norway? First reserve for the long and second reserve for the relay
How has the preparations been? I have had great preparations during the summer with O-ringed and one last camp in Norway. So now it’s soon time to just relax and be ready mentally!
What are you goals in WOC? If I’m going to run the long my focus will be to do a good technical racy with offensive running and don’t be afraid of the tiredness during the race. If I manage that I know I will be satisfied with my race and result.
If you were an animal, which one would you be and why? A lynx! Because they seams bright and intelligent and they move so easy through the forest without a sound.

Ausrine Kutkaite

How has the preparations been: It went quite well so now I just need to sit back and relax and hope that my best shape is coming up 😎
What are you goals in WOC: I hope that after each race at the finish line I will have a good feeling that I did everything I could that day!
If you were an animal, which one would you be and why? A deer, because it’s cute. And fast!

How has the preparations been? Good, I could do all the trainings I had planned and felt better, fitter and stronger.
What are you goals in WOC: Fokusing on my orienteering and stay calm. Everything else come from alone.
If you were an animal, which one would you be and why? Eagle, it stay calm check s everything and then it attackt the animal or the control😉

Hector Haines
Age: 30
Country: GBR
Which distances are you running in Norway? Long.
How have the preparations been? Pretty good, I've been working well on my mental preparations, which alongside the technical and physical preparations feels good. Still, things have not been perfect - but the motivation is high.
What are you goals in WOC? Main goal is just to have fun. Being a competitor in the World Champs has been something that I've done for many years, but now I really just want to appreciate it for what it is - a great experience which I'm fortunate to be a part of.
If you were an animal, which one would you be and why? I think I would be a bee. Their incredible navigation skills are envious, they are hardworking and a vital part of the ecosystem. And I also love honey🍯.

Johan Runesson
Age: 28
Country: Sweden
Which distance are you running in Norway? I am running the first leg in swedish relay team. Plus reserve for middle.
How has the preparations been? I had much problems during the spring with my foot that made it almost impossible tu run. But since july it have been good and since then i had been able to do my trainings so i am really confident about that it will be a nice WOC.
What are your goals in WOC? For me it is all about doing a good race and being in control during my leg. I can only do as good as possible so I am focusing on my own performance rather then others! Then i know that we have a really strong team in sweden so of course i hope it can be a really good result in the end.
If you were an animal, which one would you be and why?
A fox! Smooth and fast in the forest but still very sharp minded. Perfect for a first leg😂
